Grotesques Loneliness and Georges Growth In Winesburg, Ohio by Sherwood Anderson
Sherwood Anderson is called the first of American psychological writers. "Winesburg, Ohio" is the first work of fiction to expose the frustration, and inhibition behind the typical small town. Every grotesque in Winesburg had such a kind of tragic experience. Winesburg is the epitome of all mid-western small towns.
