Narrow Band Internet 窄帶物聯網

Narrow Band Internet of Things, (NB-IoT) is a technology being standardized by the 3GPP standards body. This technology is a narrowband radio technology specially designed for the Internet of Things (IoT), hence its name. Special focus of this standard are on indoor coverage, low cost, long battery life and large number of devices. This technology can be deployed in GSM and LTE spectrum.  窄帶物聯網是由3GPP（《第三代伙伴計劃協議》）標準化組織定義的一種技術標準，是一種專為物聯網設計的窄帶射頻技術，因此得名。以室內覆蓋、低成本、低功耗和廣連接為特點。這種技術可應用于GSM網絡和LTE網絡。   和窄帶網絡對應的則是寬帶網絡（Broadband network），一般指的是帶寬超過155kbps以上的網絡。
