A Few Remarks on Competition
Competition is a common phenomenon in our.social life. We compete when we play games, we try to do better than others in our study, and there is constant competition for jobs, customers, money, and so forth. We can say, to somee cxtent, competition is one of the motive forces of the devdopment of society.
And we often find competition and cooperation at the same time. Think of a baseball game, each team is competing with the other team. But each member of the teatn is cooperating with his or her teammates. In most casos, we can't do competition without cooperation. Thus tbey are equally important.
While we are advocating competltion, we can't forget cooperation. Nothing is to becarried to extremes. Pure and exclusive competition leads to failures. Competiton together with cooperation help us a great deal in obtaining our goals and satisfying our needs,especially in modernizing our country.
短評競爭
競爭是我們社會生活的普遍現象，當我們比賽時有競爭，在學習中我們想比他人做得好，在找工作，爭取顧客，掙錢等方面都存在著競爭。我們可以說，在某種程度上競爭是社會發展的推動力。
我們經常發現競爭與合作同時存在。試以棒球為例，一隊與另一隊競爭，但是每一隊的每個隊員都同自己的隊友合作。一般情況下，沒有合作我們就不能競爭。因此競爭與合作同等重要。
當我們倡導競爭時，我們不能忘了合作。任何事情都不可走極端。為競爭而競爭要導致失敗，競爭與合作在實現我們的目標和滿足我們的需要時對我們有很大幫助，尤其是在實現我國現代化的過程中是如此。
